Glass Echidna is a small, agile Australian software development house that prides itself on its unique software. We endeavour to develop solutions that make life easier for people from all walks of life.
Glass Echidna develops a wide range of software catering to multiple market segments across a diverse range of platforms. While our purpose as a business is to remain profitable by providing excellent products at reasonable prices, we also release software freely should we believe that such software should be free.
Likewise, some of our free software is released as open source, because we have found it immensely useful and would like to encourage other developers to put it to good use too. There are many open source software licences available with varying degrees of permissiveness and restrictions on what you can and can’t do with it. At Glass Echidna, we find that the MIT licence most strongly resonates with our view of open source and utilise it for our offerings. It is reproduced below.
